CoreMethods™ · ISO 9001:2015
The playbook for delivering digital change projects, end to end.
A curated, version-controlled library of methods — from project charters to CI/CD pipelines — used by every Exco engagement. Open, searchable, and built to be used as you work.
Four principles
How we deliver, every time.
01
People + Design
Empathy before technology. A human-centred approach to every engagement.
02
Value + Pace
Quick starts, pragmatic delivery, no waste. Outcomes over outputs.
03
Accountable + Agile
Accountability and flexibility in balance, not in tension.
04
Transparent + Engaging
Openness and trust with customers throughout the project lifecycle.
The methodology
The Project Management Framework
Five phases. Every method in the library belongs to one. Mandatory methods carry a project from initiation through to closure.
Bodies of knowledge
Six bodies of knowledge, one library.
Methods are categorised so they can be found two ways: by what you're doing, and by the phase you're in.
Project Management
Project Management
The Project Management category covers all methods related to governing, planning, scheduling, and controlling digital change projects. It includes Exco Partners' Project Management Framework (PMF), which defines mandatory and recommended methods across project phases and classes, ensuring teams deliver with rigour, accountability, and ISO9001-aligned traceability.
Agile Delivery
Agile Delivery
The Agile Delivery category provides methods for iterative, value-driven delivery. It covers Kanban boards, sprint planning and retrospectives, burn-up and burn-down charts, definitions of done, and backlog management — giving teams practical tools to deliver incrementally while maintaining quality and pace.
Change Management
Change Management
The Change Management category draws on Lean Change Management principles to help teams engage stakeholders, craft communication plans, and drive adoption of new ways of working. These methods ensure that digital change projects deliver lasting value by bringing people along the journey.
Design Thinking / HCD
Design Thinking / HCD
The Design Thinking / HCD (Human-Centred Design) category contains methods for understanding people before solving problems. It spans discovery research, persona development, journey mapping, problem framing, ideation, prototyping, and usability testing — ensuring solutions are desirable, feasible, and viable.
Software DevOps
Software DevOps
The Software DevOps category captures best practices for building and operating software reliably and repeatably. It covers branching strategies, coding standards, code review practices, CI/CD pipeline design, automated testing approaches, and deployment patterns — bridging development and operations for high-quality software delivery.
IT Architecture
IT Architecture
The IT Architecture and Security category provides methods for designing robust, scalable, and secure systems. It includes integration specifications, data modelling, non-functional requirements (NFRs), security design patterns, and architecture decision records — ensuring solutions are technically sound and aligned with enterprise standards.

Risk and Issues Management
This method covers identifying, wording, rating, treating, agreeing and closing risks and issues. It sets the standard for a register that drives decisions rather than one that records concerns: cause, event and quantified consequence; a named owner; a current and a target rating; and treatments that name what they change, who does them, and by when.
