A user story is a tool used to capture a description of a software feature from an end-user perspective. User stories describe the type of user, what they want, and their expectation.

The User Story is a key unit of work in the software development process. Each user story follows the following life-cycle, which is tracked on a Kanban. The stages in this life-cycle are defined by the Definition of Done for each User Story.
