The financial management and budget tracking of a project is an important activity to ensure the success of the project. Budget tracking in an important control to ensure the profitability of a project for Exco Partners and to provide accurate and timely data for financial and resource decision making, reporting and stakeholder management.

Budget tracking tracks resource time and material costs throughout the life-cycle of the project enabling accurate measures of cost forecasts, budgets, actual spend to date and forecast variance.

The Project Tracking spreadsheet must be initiated at the planning or proposal stage to forecast costs and project budget. This forms the baseline from which the project finances will be measured throughout the life of the project.
